Netball South wishes to invite you and your family and friends to the Netball South Fun Day 2023!
Date: Saturday 17th June
Time: 10am-4pm
Venue: Wavell School
Price: This event is completely FREE to all members and their friends and family! It is a celebration of all things netball, community and volunteering.
What’s going on?
10am-12pm: We will be running a showcase tournament for Back to netball and Walking netball. We hope to have ONE team chosen to represent each county in the region, these are carefully selected by each Netball Development Officer and County Association representative.
We encourage you to come along and cheer on your home county. Or maybe you just want to see what it’s all about, that’s fine too, we will have plenty of experts as well as England netball staff to answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction.
12.30 – 2pm: We will be holding an awards celebration to announce the winners of the Netball South ONE Awards. These awards recognise all the fantastic volunteers within our netball community and any winners go on to represent the South at the England Netball National ONE Awards. If someone suddenly sprung to mind, don’t worry there's still time to nominate somebody for an award! The closing date for nominations is Monday 8th May. We will announce the winners from the morning showcase tournaments. We will also be presenting the awards to all our regional competition winners and runners up, so please come ready for lots of cheers!
2 - 4pm: Fun in the park! We will be organising a colour run assault course! Feel free to join in yourself. Or maybe you’d rather be doing the damage with a water pistol and handful of colour powder to aim at a certain someone?!
BYOP – Bring Your Own Picnic and grab a spot in the sun (is it too early to call it?!) or maybe you’d like to go a step further and provide a small food stall, raffle or seller’s stand? If this is the case, we’d love to hear from you so that a pitch can be considered for you (venue restrictions may apply).
