Goalden Globes
Regional Goalden Globes – winners announced
Thursday 17th June 2010 was Netball South’s AGM and Goalden Globe presentations. The Goalden Globe awards are a chance to recognise the tireless work volunteers do throughout the year.
The various categories cover all areas of netball, so there is an award for every type of volunteer. Not only do the Regional Winners get an award from Netball South they are also put forward to the National Goalden Globes which are being held on Saturday 18th September 2010 at Athena, Leicester. This is a great evening of celebration for all the hard work that volunteers put in across the country. At last years event the South came away with 2 National Winners (Claire Kemp, Teacher of the Year Award and Chris Granger, Muriel McNally Award).
After much thought the Regional Winners are:
Muriel McNally – Ann Selby
Rose Award – Sheila Martin
Mary Bulloch - Carol Alexander
Young Volunteer Award – Ellen Richmond
Coach Award – Patricia Kilcynski
Grassroots Coach Award – Tina Price
Outstanding Netball Club – Kidlington NC
Congratulations to all those that won as well as those that were nominated.
Thank you to all the volunteers that give up their time for Netball in the South.
