Talent and Performance Centres

There are three Talent and Performance Centres in the South and these are in Winchester (Hampshire), Watlington (Oxfordshire) and Burgess Hill (Sussex). The regional talent development programme is delivered through these centres and they provide the interface between the National and Regional programmes.

Athletes are invited to trials which are held each year in early September. These will have been identified from the PDP programme and at regional events (Schools, clubs).

Athletes in the National Excel Programme, along with some regionally identified athletes, train at the new Regional Excel Academy held at Winchester under the guidance of the Regional Talent Coach.
