Umpire Development

 

• The National Course for re-accreditation of testers took place in Nottingham in September and was attended by 7 testers from the South - Margaret Deighan, Mary Stanley, Jennie Underwood, Chris Granger, Yvonne Jamison, Audrey Castle and Jenny Poore.

 

• The B - A Award Courses ran concurrently with the Testers Course and was attended by Lara Venter, Tracy Stubbs, Kaz Merchant, Deb Parsons, Janette Morgan and Stacie Finn.

 

• The Umpiring Technical Support Group (UTSG) were able to assist all attendees with a subsidy towards the fees (except for one umpire who had been supported totally by their county).

 

• The Regional Testers Accreditation Course will take place on the 18th November in Basingstoke, tutor to be confirmed.

Other courses planned:

1.           C - B Award - 28th October - tbc, otherwise it will take place in the New Year with another one later on.
2.           A Writen - counties to submit possible candidates to the UTSG.
3.           Tutor Course - 2008
4.           Table Officials - 2008

Information on all these courses will be advertised as soon as possible.
