Netball South Junior Netball Festival

EAST GRINSTEAD NETBALL CENTRE - March 1st 2008

The Newly opened East Grinstead Sports Centre saw their first large scale netball Tournament held there last Saturday - March 1st.

The venue was a hit for everyone, 9 courts with plenty of room for Umpires, fantastic viewing space for spectators with close parking to the courts, hot and cold refreshments plus of course a wonderful little 'Wendy House' for officials and umpires....Well done East Grinstead and Sussex, a worthy venue.

One thing we couldn't guarentee was the weather and although it didn't rain - it was unfortunate that there was a biting wind that didn't subside (as it had been promised by the weathermen)! as the day progressed. None of this however, curbed the enthusiasm of the 25 junior teams that took part in the festival.

2 Sections of 7 playing in the U14's and one round robin of 11 teams participated in the U16's...
