CAPS helps Netball clubs function in the most efficient way, with least long-term hassle. It is directly linked to Sport England’s Clubmark scheme and it’s all about good practice in the development of players, coaches and umpires at all levels.  For more information please click here

CAPS Checklist for Club folders

  •   Duty of care documents

    BRONZE - 2 (EN or scUK)

    SILVER - 3 (1EN compulsory)

    GOLD - 4 (4EN compulsory)

  • Duty of Care document
  • Age Groups - at least one per group per section of Gold only)
  • Under 11's play High 5
  • Information on medical conditions
  • Contact details for emergencies
  • A filled in register
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Qualified first aider (Gold only)
  • Hours coached in a year

     Bronze - Juniors 15hrs, Seniors 20hrs

     Silver - Juniors 20hrs, Seniors 30hrs

     Gold - Juniors 25hrs, Seniors 35hrs

  • Club uses a variety of activites - tick and list others (also need evidence of this)
  • Opportunities to improve individual player - sessions plans/coaches notes
  • Coaches

     Bronze - 1 x level 2 coach & 1 x level 1 coach

     Silver - 2 x level 1 coach & 2 x level 2 coach

     Gold - 4 x level 1 coach, 3 x level 2 coach & 1 x level 3 coach

  • Coach mentor (Gold only)
  • Encourages members and volunteers to help with umpiring - statement on SEF
  • Umpires

     Bronze - 1 x beginner or C Award

     Silver - 3 x beginner or C Award

     Gold - 3 x beginner or C Award & 1 x B or A (or panel) Award
